Hello from the Dark Kingdom everyone! This is Mads! Your trusty zephyr of ice surfing the web on the Dark Kingdom's web WiFi! So much has happened within the last year! I have given 9 pints of blood, got accepted to Eau Claire (Go BluGolds!), bought a car with my own money (Who I named Judith), got older, have a new boyfriend who treats me way better, grew closer to God in Guatemala, did some stuff in Baltimore, met some new online friends and got a new laptop!
Okay, I'll take it slower.
After two years of toiling and draining, I finally gave my gallon on December 12 of 2013. All I can say is, YAY GOD! I still donate my blood frequently. I am at my 9th pint. I have also started donating platelets. Its cool to see a machine separate your blood into separate things. I have learned red cells come back, my plasma looks like pee, and my platelets look like butter, life saving butter! Not to mention the keep you warm by putting on heated blankets, giving you all kinds of tasty food (Cookies and Fruit snacks all the way!) And watching Napoleon Dynamite. Needless to say, I will return on Tuesday to give with two needles. I can't move…. But I will survive… somehow.
I got accepted to Eau Claire, a school about 75 miles from home. I will go for nursing there, because I heard their program rocks socks. I will constantly pray I get in… That program is soooo competitive. As always, don't stop believing.
On December 9, I got into a car crash and killed my other car, Jerry. Its a long story, but lets just say I cried uncontrollably. I had to pay for it big time. Which was quite a fine. Thankfully, no one was hurt. From that day, I was carless. So, I had to go and find another one. One that fought my eye was a 2005 mitsubishi outlander. I saw her, and I knew she was right. After some paper work, I had my new (Used) car, Judith. Since December 24, when I got her, she's running perfectly. Even in Wisconsin, She's a friggin beast. GO JUDITH!
A lovely thing happened on October 6. It marked my anniversary of entering the world! I can do so much more stuff now. I celebrated by getting a lottery ticket. I won $5. I AM AWESOME!
I finally got out of an abusive relationship early in September of last year. I was sad at first, but I realized how unhealthy the relationship was. My dad and Jesus Christ helped me through it, making me the woman I am today. I worked with a guy in the tech booth at Church. His name is Dalton. I learned he had a crush on me late OCtober in Ceramics class. Of course, I was flattered. Eventually, on November 4, He asked me to be his girl friend. I said, yyyyyyyeeessssssss. Since then, we've been having a peaceful relationship with no arguing. I like this.
Last August, I journeyed closer to the Equator to Guatemala. WE flew in nearly 8 hours late. By the end of the day, we were zombies. In the van, as we drove to our destination in the wee hours in the morning, finding that Guatemalans are friggin boss when it comes to driving. These people would be pro at Mario Kart! I mean, no side rails, 100 feet from the ground, continuous ledges, rocks in the road. Yeah. Like a boss! WE awoke the next day having SOME sleep. We enjoyed some of the cooking from our host family. I must say, she is amazing. That day, we went to the Pastor's church. WE listened to some sweet jams on the way, dancing to whatever came on, regardless of the language. At the church, we played some sort of tag game with the kids. They took interest into stealing an loose articles of clothing. Especially sunglasses. They enjoyed taking my hat and looking like a gangsta. All the way, they were flipping adorable. For our mission work, we cleared some land, prayed with sick families, and smurfed (Painted blue) a house. I learned so much about the country there. We watched a soccer game. There, we found the pastor is a boss at playing soccer. Scoring three goals. NO REALLY! Three goals! Club can't handle him right now~~~~
Also, Mike's pizza had some tasty stuff. Like, BEST PIZZAH EVAH! Our time there was precious, growing in Christ, playing card games, taking in the beautiful views. I even got to see a sunset… man…. that was the Face of God before me. Majestic and beautiful, rapturing me in its soft illumination….
Yeah, I have so many experiences to share from this, but I''ll put that in another journal. I have too much to say :\
Baltimore is home to the prestigious Johns Hopkins University. There, I have met more friends, ate some food there, had many intense card games, made group C more awesome and help plasticized organs! AWESOME!!! The experience was well worth the money, and I have countless memories. I shall go forth to achieve my dream of becoming a urologic nurse practitioner.
What can I say? Like Renard, I love my internet friends. This January, I met Arecu. She and I shared a passion for happy wars. Defending our sacred horned cat Beloth and keeping her image alive. Man, We have so much fun. Since then, I have added countless drawings to my Art holder on my laptop. We write some wicked awesome stories, but we keep them within because they are so awesome WWAAAHHH!!!
And finally, I got this laptop. Very light and useful. School is way easier and I can do so much more. Yep. Love it.
Anyhoo, thats whats been going on so far. and I will update you all on my life when I get to it.
